Mitchell also has experience working with younger adults through the ages of 35 suffering with mood disorders and phobias.

Along with his work at Winston Counseling & Consultation Mitchell also currently works to counsel adults suffering from autism spectrum disorder in order to help them and their families manage their symptoms and live more fulfilling and independent lives.

In addition to Mitchell’s counseling experience, Mitchell also has experience in psychological research. He worked under a fully licensed psychologist in the Age Emotion and Cognition laboratory at Cleveland State University. In this time Mitchell learned much about the biological underpinnings of emotion and motivation, as well personality metrics in psychology. This knowledge is applied to Mitchell’s work with clients every day.

Mitchell hopes that over the course of his career he can foster his love for psychology and the individual. He hopes to always learn new things and to help those who he encounters in his work, to find meaning in the roles they assume in life as well as to build the courage and awareness to become great children, mothers, fathers, and leaders in their communities and families.
