Andrea Anderson, LPCC-S

Clinical Supervisor

Andrea Anderson has a Master’s in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College. Andrea is a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisory endorsement (LPCC-S). Prior to graduating, Andrea has worked in community mental health and a school utilizing her art therapy degree. Upon graduation with her master’s degree, Andrea worked in a psychiatric hospital in inpatient and outpatient departments. During her work at the hospital, Andrea has worked with adults and adolescents struggling with chemical dependency and mental health disorders.

While working with clients, Andrea uses an eclectic approach. Andrea meets the Client where they are at and utilizes the best fit approach. The approaches she utilizes most are art therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Andrea believes that some subjects can be difficult to discuss, and art can help express emotions better than words. Art can facilitate a haven in which we process emotions and events by placing them onto a piece of paper, to begin the healing process.

When Andrea is not in session, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, gardening, or anything outdoors with her animals. She also participates in her own art marking using mediums such as drawing, painting, and baking.
